About the University

Assam University is a central university situated in Silchar, Assam. The University Grants Commission (UGC) recognizes it, and it has also been accredited with a 'B+' grade by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC). The university was started in 1994 by the Assam Central University Act and has since been receiving maintenance support from the Ministry of Education, Government of India. Assam University is improving the quality and access to higher education so that students can be trained to exercise, especially for students of Northeast India. The university offers a range of programs for students. Programs include undergraduate, postgraduate, diploma, and doctoral degrees in various fields. The university has more than 35 departments organized into 16 schools. Students can choose from all disciplines such as Social Science, Humanities, Physical Sciences, Life Sciences, Technologies, Environmental Studies, Commerce and Law, and Management. Assam University Admission Process Steps

Assam University has an efficient process of admission based on merit as well as a common entrance test at the national level. The process has gotten some clarity with the CUET (Common University Entrance Test) now being carried out for UG and PG programs. The steps associated with the admission procedure are as follows: Visit the official website: After visiting, find all admission notifications at www.aus.ac.in. Choose the program: Check eligibility criteria, course duration, and entrance exam(s) required. Register and fill out the Application Form: Add personal details, educational history, and entrance exam details (CUET UG/PG or AUSAT).
