About the University
The University of Kerala was formerly recognized as the University of Travancore and is one of the earliest and first public universities in India. It was founded in 1937 at Thiruvananthapuram, the capital of Kerala, and has thus become almost synonymous with Indian higher education due to a number of academic standards, quality programs, research, and innovative practices.
