About The University
Tripura University was established as a state university in 1987. Later, due to a subsequent Act of Parliament, it was upgraded to a Central university in 2007. Tripura University is one of the most successful higher learning institutions in the entire North-East of India. It is located in Suryamaninagar, around 10 km away from Agartala. The University had a stable growth in terms of academics, research, and overall infrastructure to maintain the identity it has established as a University in the area.
