Latest Changes in CUET 2025 as per the UGC norms
Some changes can be made by UGC with a discussion on 13 November 2024: Exam Mode- Computer-Based Test mode (CBT) and Online mode CUET for UG & CUET PG exams can be scheduled in 2025. Number of Subjects- Applicants are allowed to select more than 5 subjects in CUET 2025. Number of Test Subjects- The subjects can be set to be reduced to 37 subjects while totally relying on the GAP or General Aptitude Test. Mandatory Attempting Questions- It is necessitate to attempt all questions , there is no optional questions that can be offered in the exam. Exam Duration- For all subjects, the exam duration can be changed to 60 minutes. Subject Chosen Option- Test takers are allowed to choose any subject in the CUET exam from their 12th-class subjects . Domain Subjects in CUET 2025- Test takers can be allowed for 23 Domain Subjects in the CUET 2025 examinations, which can be sorted below: Domain Subjects in CUET 2025 Business Studies Physics Mathematics or Applied Mathematics Performing Arts of Drama, Music or Dance Geography or Geology Home Science Political Science Sociology Environmental Science Physical Education (Yoga or Sports) Economics or Business Economics Accountancy or Book-Keeping Agriculture Chemistry Biology/ Biological Science/ Biochemistry/ Biotechnology Fine Visual Arts or Commercial Arts or Fine Arts History Mass Media or Mass Communication Psychology Computer Science or Information Practices Sanskrit Knowledge Tradition - Practices in India Anthropology Deleted Domain Subjects in CUET 2025- Over the CUET 2025 exams, there have been such subjects that can be deleted from the Domain Subjects list can be attained from the table given: Deleted Domain Subjects in CUET 2025 Teaching Aptitude Entrepreneurship Legal Studies Tourism Fashion Studies Engineering Graphics Language Subjects of CUET 2025- From 13 Language tests, which are stated below: Language Subjects of CUET 2025 Hindi Bengali English Malayalam Kannada Odia Tamil Urdu Telugu Urdu Marathi Punjabi Assamese Including foreign languages, there have been 20 language tests in CUET 2024 that can be taken according to the General Aptitude Test. Changed General Test- The General Test, which can be amended over the General Aptitude Test.
